Our club is open to players of all abilities - so whether you’ve never played before or your looking to play competitively, the club will cater for your needs.

We have relaxed friendly atmosphere where the main emphasis is on enjoying yourself and meeting other like-minded people.

Coaching advice is on offer, from introductory sessions in the basic techniques for complete novices, to more high level coaching advice for the elite team players.

Separate coaching sessions run within the training times to engage all levels of performer.

Festivals and interclub competitions are available throughout the year for those who wish to test themselves.

The club has two mixed teams. The first competes in the SUS fixtures, where we were just promoted to Division 1 and the BUSA leagues. The second team compete in the Glasgow Churches League. You must be a member of the Badminton Club to participate.

Sport and Recreation also provide a Recreational Programme where you can participate in:

  • Drop-in sessions to learn/try badminton and participate in low key organised sessions
  • Hire a court and equipment at the Stevenson Building or Kelvinhall

During the course of the year our club will be running various social events. See our website: www.gla.ac.uk/clubs/badminton.
