If you want to play a great sport and meet lots of new people, then the women’s hockey club is for you.
Last season our 1st XI once again triumphed over the other Scottish Universities in the Cup, and continued on to the quarterfinals of the BUSA Championship. They compete in the National League and gained promotion to National 2 last season. The 2nd XI and 3rd XI both play in Division 2 of the Western league. Indoor is played during the winter break, and regular mixed tournaments throughout the year help to create a great club atmosphere.
We train on the third generation pitch at Garscube Sports complex and use the indoor facilities at Kelvin Hall.
Two new coaches, along with a specialist GK coach, have helped with our continued development and success.
Our social side is second to none. Post match drinks, annual dinners and nights out all ensure a close relationship with the men’s club!
Our Easter tour is the highlight of the year combining the men’s and women’s clubs with a ‘tropical’ destination, always ensuring bags of fun.
So whether you are the next Scotland striker or just fancy a run around, the competitive yet sociable women’s club would love to see you.
