Lacrosse

Lacrosse is an ancient game, first played by Native Americans as practice for war! It is a fast and skilful game and is one of the most exciting games around.

The GULC fields three teams; Women’s, Men’s and Mixed, and blends together players of all abilities from internationals to complete beginners. The teams play in different leagues; the women play in the BUSA league on Wednesdays, the men in the ASLL on the weekends and the mixed in the Scottish league (also on the weekends). We battle it out against other Scottish Universities as well as strong club teams from all over Scotland. Lacrosse offers players a strong chance of competing for one of the many international standard teams that exist, with many players in recent years representing Scotland in both Men’s and Women’s matches.

Our three team set up provides a unique, friendly atmosphere and allows us to be one of the most social clubs at the University. After match drinks, insane social nights and our fantastic AGM are integral to the club.

If you are a Lacrosse Virgin, a serious pro or anything and everything in between the GULC is the club for you. Joining could be the best decision you ever make!
