Welcome to Glasgow University Mountaineering (GUM) Club, one of the largest, most energetic and sociable clubs within Glasgow University.
We are active in all areas of mountaineering, hill walking, scrambling, rock climbing and ice climbing as well as other related activities such as mountain biking and skiing.
We arrange weekend meets every fortnight throughout the year all over Scotland and beyond, so if you fancy doing any of the above in good company then this is the club for you!
The GUM Club gives you the chance to see the Scottish mountains at their very best so whether you want to get into the sport or you’re already a seasoned mountaineer come along, join the club and meet like-minded folk. If this sounds good then come along to our cheese and wine evening for more information and sign up for our freshers meet at the beginning of the first term for an excellent weekend not to be missed.
The GUM club will make sure that you start each week tired but with a smile on your face, eager to get away again.
To find out more either visit our website: www.gumclub.co.uk or come along to the Uisge Beatha pub on Woodlands Road every Tuesday night from 2100.
Training Times: Please contact the club for trip & excursion details.
