GUWRFC is one of the most social and successful clubs within the University. Notable achievements include last season’s SWRU Bowl Victory - overcoming premiership opposition to win the first SWRU title in the club’s history, reaching the quarter and semi-finals of BUSA and several of our players being selected for the Scotland performance set-up.
As one of the friendliest University Clubs, GUWRFC welcomes all new players regardless of their previous experience of rugby - the majority of our freshers’ intake has never played before and despite producing Scottish Internationals, emphasis is firmly placed on enjoyment of the game.
With regard to the social aspect of the club, GUWRFC is second to none! We recently enjoyed an extremely successful tour of Northern Ireland and with our ever-alert social secretaries ensuring regular (themed) nights out; we guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
