Do you want to be a tennis superstar like Tim Henman or Anna Kournikova? Probably not because you might actually want to win something!
Look no further than the Glasgow University Tennis Club – we cater for anyone and everyone. Our club is becoming one of the fastest growing and most successful clubs in University! Tennis is played on Wednesday and Friday afternoons at Dowanhill Tennis Club and on Sunday evenings at the indoor facilities at Next Generation. Coaching is available on both Wednesdays and Sundays. Matches are played on Wednesday afternoons of Term 1 where Glasgow has two men’s’ and women’s teams in the BUSA league.
Of course it’s not all about tennis! We boast one of the busiest social schedules of all the clubs, with social nights every two weeks in the first term including the famous “Retro Tennis Night”. Throughout the year there are also club tournaments, and social matches against rivals Edinburgh.
A scheduled tour takes place at the end of the year! Last year we went to Croatia!
Andy Murray has already voiced his opinion on the University Tennis Club quoting: “It couldn’t be a better year to join; the value for money is awesome!”
