Meers-Grey Trust

Brian Meers and Patrick Grey were killed in a tragic accident on Ben Nevis in January 1992.  Brian was a highly talented young research fellow in Physics and Astronomy, Patrick was a very promising young research student in Forensic Science, both at the University of Glasgow.

In memory of Brian and Patrick, the Meers-Grey Trust wishes to offer a Travelling Scholarship for the benefit of staff and students of the Universities of Glasgow and Stirling. The objective of the Scholarship is to assist with funding expeditions for the primary purpose of mountaineering or other such adventurous outdoor pursuits.

Awards up to the amount of £1,400 are available each academic session. Applications will be considered up until the date of 31st May.
